Referral terms
Earn 300–500 credits (≈ £3–£5 in gift cards) per successful referral — when a friend you invite genuinely gets value from Vouch, not when they sign up. The amount rises with your referral tier as you refer more; the qualifying rules never change. That single design choice shapes every rule on this page.
How a referral qualifies
A referral pays when your friend completes all four steps:
- 1. Joins with your link
- And verifies their email. Nothing is owed at this point — a bare signup never pays, ever.
- 2. Passes risk checks
- The same standard checks every account goes through.
- 3. Earns 1,000 approved credits
- From real, partner-funded offers — credits that survived their hold windows. Their welcome, referral, and promotional credits don't count toward this.
- 4. Stays in good standing for 14 days
- A review period after qualification. If everything holds, your referral reward — 300 credits at the starter tier, rising to 500 at the top tier (≈ £3–£5 in gift cards) — is approved. Your tier scales the reward only; it never changes these four qualifying steps.
You can watch each invite move through these stages on your referrals page — pending, qualified, approved, or denied, always with the current step shown.
Why rewards wait
Referral programmes that pay on signup get farmed, and the cost lands on honest members as worse rates and heavier checks. Paying only on genuine value kills the incentive for fake referrals outright — which is why this is the only referral programme we'd want to be on the other end of.
The limits, plainly
- Cap: 10 per month
- At most 10 rewarded referrals per account per calendar month. Invites beyond that still work for your friends — the cap only limits your rewards.
- No self-referrals
- Referring yourself, a second account, or a cluster of accounts you actually run is blocked — we check device, network, and referral-graph linkage, and suspicious clusters go to human review.
- Rewards can reverse
- If the activity that qualified your friend is later reversed, or their account turns out to be fraudulent, the referral reward reverses too — with the reason in your ledger and the usual appeal path.
- No double-counting
- Referral credits never count toward your own Welcome Track progression or anyone's qualification threshold.
